Brad Brase grew up in Fresno, California, the second of three children who comprised the family's second generation of Germans from Russia to be born on American soil.

He and his wife, Jan, and their six children reside in Kansas where Brad is employed as the Manager of Market Planning and Analysis at the corporate headquarters of Payless ShoeSource.
