  Ralph G. Degn

Doug Bentley

Ralph G. Degn earned his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Utah and his master’s degree in Latin American studies from Georgetown University. He is the founder of Fireworks West Internationale, which has provided fireworks for such events as the 2005 Presidential Inauguration, 2002 Winter Olympics, and several Super Bowls.

A former mayor, Brother Degn has been the piano player at the Pickleville Playhouse for more than twenty-five years. He has served as an organist, institute teacher, Boy Scout leader, and bishop. In addition, he served as mission president of the Brazil São Paulo North Mission from 1993 to 1996 and as a founding adviser for the Institute Men’s Association.

Brother Degn is the author of Keep the Spirit and Title of Liberty. He and his wife, Mary Ann, live in Wellsville, Utah. They are the parents of eight children.

If you would like a copy of Brother Degn’s Title of Liberty booklet, written to help missionaries keep track of their “provident promises” and spiritual progress, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope (two first-class stamps) and $1 to the author at 251 E. 100 North, Wellsville, Utah, 84339.
