| Dwight E. Monson graduated with honors from Harvard University with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, and holds an MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Management. He is currently employed by the largest strategic and operations consulting firm in the United States. In his role as Senior Partner and Director, he is a frequent speaker at national healthcare seminars, including the major healthcare associations throughout the country. Until recently, he served on the Board of Directors of Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois.
He has published several papers in his industry's professional publications. His current and past clients include Catholic, Protestant and Jewish healthcare organizations. This association provides him with many opportunities to gain an understanding of the various cultures and value systems of these religious sponsors.
In the LDS Church, he has served a full-time mission to France and Switzerland. He has also fulfilled two part-time Stake Missions. He has been a Ward Mission Leader, a counselor in two bishopbrics and a High Prist Group Leader. On multiple occasions, he has taught both Gospel Doctrine and Gospel Essentials classes and has worked with the youth in the Church in various capacities. He was raised in a loving family in Farmington, Utah. At Davis Hish School he lettered in football, basketball and track and was honored as the outstanding athlete-scholar in his graduating class. He turned down athletic scholarships in football and basketball to pursue his education at Harvard University.
He is maried to the former Marilynn Allred, who he calls "the joy of his life." They are the parents of five children, and they live in Naperville, Illinois. Most of their adult life has been spent on the East or West Coast until a decade ago when he and his family settled in the Chicago area.
Dwight E. Monson continues to be active in sports ranging from basketball and tennis to general conditioning activities. He enjoys travel, gourmet cooking and reading books on a broad range of subjects.
