Rhett E. Murray received a bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University in Fine Art, and a master’s degree from Southern Utah University in Art Education. He also completed a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the Northwest College of Art in Seattle, Washington.
He grew up in Springville, Utah, and served for two years in the Chile Osorno Mission. He lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his wife Holly, and their three children. He has taught middle school and high school for the past ten years in Alaska, Washington and Nevada.
He is a member of the Nevada Art Guild, and is also a professional portrait artist and illustrator.
