Maurine Ozment, composer of the music for these hymns, is a lifelong teacher and adjudicator of piano performance. Having performed on concert stages and served on music faculties outside of Utah for many years, she now lives in southern Utah where she continues to perform and teach private students.

A much sought after accompanist and soloist, Maurine is also a published composer and arranger. Her compositions have been performed throughout the Church. Primary workers and children will recognize her as the composer of the popular "Hello Song" and "Feliz Cumpleaños." She regards composing the music for Sacred Hymns of the Book of Mormon as one of the high points of her life and career.
