While attending his first dance after his mission, Richard K. Scott met and fell in love with his wife, Janice. Richard and Janice never planned to have a certain number of children, but they did try to follow the promptings of the spirit. Ultimately they received twelve children. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree from BYU and serving eight years as a military pilot, they decided to go back to college and study that which they loved, Marriage and Family. Richard received a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Idaho, and a professional level masters (MC) from Arizona State University. He has experience as a Marriage and Family Counselor.
