| Trudy grew up in Portland, Oregon, where at age fifteen she accepted her first calling in the Church as Primary chorister. Over the years she was repeatedly called to be Primary chorister and it became her favorite calling—one to which she lends a tremendous amount of creativity and energy. Trudy enthusiastically says, “I love the Primary songs of the Church!” She has also been ward and stake Primary and Young Womens president, but is always happy when she gets back to teaching the songs of the gospel to Primary children.
Trudy and her husband, Bill, live in Sandy, Utah as “empty nesters.” Though they adore their children and grandchildren, they are pleasantly surprised at what a nice time of life this is! Trudy graduated from BYU in Elementary Education and enjoys quilting, reading, playing the piano, singing, keeping the family scrapbooks up to date, and being in the great outdoors. Her statement “I love life!” characterizes this bubbly, vivacious lady.
