Kenneth R. Tarr taught French language and literature at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, for fourteen years, and French for three years at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. He received a masters degree in French and Spanish at Brigham Young in 1965, and a doctorate in French and history at Kansas University in 1973.
He was born and raised in Southern California and has been a member of the LDS church all his life.
He enjoys writing, reading, walking and jogging, repairing things, practicing the piano, and listening to good music.
Kenneth and his wife, Kathy, have been married for thirty-seven years and have eight children and sixteen grandchildren. Currently they live in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, where they operate a book store and an herb shop.
