Steven Thomas received a B.S. in Mathematics from BYU in 1970, and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Colorado in 1974. He worked in the computer field as a software engineer for IBM for three years and BYU for 17 years. He then started a small software development company, which he owned and operated for several years, before returning to BYU in 1998. He is presently working in software development at BYU as a senior engineer and a member of the management team.
Steven served in the Spanish American Mission from 1965 to 1967. He has served in many Church callings, including bishoprics, in a stake high council, and in a branch presidency at the Missionary Training Center, and as the Sunday School President in the Riverside ward of the Provo Utah Edgemont Stake.
He is married to the former Penny McDonald. They are the parents of eight children and six grandchildren.
Steven Thomas has been a life-long student of freedom and law, with particular interest in the underlying theoretical and spiritual principles of law, and their practical application in the political realm.
He has also spent a lifetime studying and observing the enemies of freedom--the secret combinations, the anti-christs, the great and abominable church, and especially the world of political intrigue.
