Paul Wagaman was born in Fruita, Colorado, in 1932. His family owned and operated a cattle ranch until the end of WWII. Paul helped out by putting up hay and herding cattle. From these experiences, he developed a deep love for the West and its culture.
After high school, Paul joined the navy, serving nearly four years in the Korean War. After being discharged, he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Utah. He spent the rest of his professional career working as an electrical engineer for such companies as Boeing, Litton Industries, and UNISYS. When he retired in 1989, Paul was able to teach physics to high school students in Kaysville, Utah.
Paul has served in a number of Church callings, including elder’s quorum president, high councilman, branch president of a young single adult branch, and temple ordinance worker. He and his wife also served a mission to the Texas San Antonio mission.
While still in the navy, Paul married his high school sweetheart in 1952. They have four children, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
