Tamara Leigh Woolley was born on the island state of Tasmania, Australia where she graduated from university with Japanese and education degrees. She was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at aged eight. Now, as a thirteen-year veteran of the Church’s Young Single Adult program, Tamara has held stake leadership positions in this area for many years. It is during this time that her appreciation for family home evening among single members of the Church began.
Tamara served a mission to Kobe, Japan from 1996-1998 where she fell in love with the country and its people. She now lives and works in Tokyo, Japan at the American School in Japan where she teaches Kindergarten.
Tamara loves to swim, watch the Australian sport of cricket and research family history. She also cannot live without a weekly neck and shoulders massage and of course, family home evening. She now calls the Gold Coast home whenever she returns to Australia to visit family.
